The most recent new and exciting thing is that this fall, I will be teaching first and second grade math at Lincoln Elementary School in Hyrum. I am really excited to be given this opportunity. I have been a teaching assistant for the past 3 years working with all different grades during reading time. But this week I was asked if I would accept a half-time teaching position. I was kind of in shock. They had been interviewing people for this job already and then they offered it to me. I am excited but nervous. It will definitely be a new adventure!!!

New and exciting things!!!!
It's been a while since I have posted and a lot of things have happened. The girls are in soccer and the season is now almost over. I'll have to post a few pictures later. They are doing really well. Brooklyn plays on a co-ed U6 soccer team. She enjoys running around chasing the ball. Autumn plays on an all girl's U8 soccer team. She is the smallest player there. It is funny to watch her up against some really tall girls. Her favorite part of soccer is the treats afterward.

Rolling Easter Eggs
One Easter tradition that I remember from when I was young was taking all our colored Easter eggs to Old Main Hill up at Utah State University. We would have a blast rolling the eggs and chase them down the steep hill until they would come to a stop or break to pieces.
We took the kids Sunday afternoon. It was a little chilly with some snow still on the ground. But we still had a blast. And of course... it always ends up in some kind of egg fight.
It sure is easy going down the hill, BUT. . . .
Man is it hard to go back up!!
Brooklyn had a blast paying with her cousins and rolling Easter eggs!!
Autumn chasing her egg down the hill.
Hunter was so cute running down the hill after his egg. The first time he rolled his, he took off down the hill and started to gain speed. So I chased him down hoping to stop the inevitable... but it still ended in 2 crashes (Hunter and me trying to catch him)!!
Hunter and Brayden collecting their unbroken eggs.
Brayden had to see what it tasted like. I don't think he was too impressed!
Autumn loved playing with Hannah making little creations in the snow.

To Hunter: I can't believe that you turned 2 years old. It has gone by so fast. It makes me sad to know that I do not have my baby anymore, but I am so glad to see you growing up healthy, strong, and happy. It has been an amazing 2 years with many new accomplishments. You never cease to amaze me with new things. I can't wait to see what else you will do. You are such a happy little boy (but sometimes a little rough). You love your sisters and want to be just like your daddy. I love you so much.
We had a little family party for Hunter. Grandma and Grandpa Page, Brian's parents and my family all came. It was a crazy day with lots for me to do. (I guess I should have been more prepared on my planning of everything) But it all turned out great.
Hunter loves Elmo so I decided to try to make an Elmo cake. I really wanted to get one of those cake pans shaped like Elmo but they were all out. So I created my own. I wish I was more of a cake decorator. It took me forever because I kept having to make different colored frosting. (it wasn't the easiest making the eyes and nose either). But Hunter loved it and even wanted to kiss Elmo.
My hand writing wasn't the best. It is kind of hard to write with a big cake in your way.
Hunter always has his tongue hanging our. Especially when he is concentrating on something. This time I just think he is being a nut!! He got a Lightning McQueen blowup chair and a toy Mater to go with it.
Hunter is so funny. Every time we wanted to take his picture he would look at us and say "cheese" it was so funny. He had us laughing all night with him contantly saying cheese!!! I love how silly he is!
Hunter got a bubble maker lawn mower from Grandma and Grandpa Achatz. He had to push it all around the house wearing his new Spiderman Hat from Great-Grandma and Grandpa Page!!
Hunter blowing out his candles. I had to light them twice because he kept blowing them out. He had so much fun doing it. He was so excited at the end of the Happy Birthday song!
Hunter said he wanted to kiss Elmo. So he did. I missed the photo the first time so he did it again. The second time Brian couldn't resist pushing Hunter's face into the cake just a little bit!!
Hunter with his black nose. He thought it was funny!!!
Hunter I hope you had a great Birthday. I can't believe you are 2!!
The Mann Easter Egg Hunt
Every year the Mann's have a big Easter Shin-dig (is that how you spell it?) It is a lot of fun for the kids. There is a big Easter egg hunt, craft, and a piniata'. It is a big blast. I was glad that the weather was good. A little chilly at times but a lot of fun.
Hunter and Brian searching for eggs. Hunter was so funny.
He would run past a whole bunch of eggs before he would pick any up.
This is the only shot I got of Autumn during the egg hunt. (oh well!)
Brooklyn with her Easter bag that the decorated before the Easter egg hunt.
They got plenty of candy and still hadn't had the piniata' yet!
Hunter wacking away at the Handy Manny piniata'.
I didn't have to help him out at all. He knew just what to do!!
It was so fun watching Hunter hit the piniata', I had to add another picture.
Brooklyn taking her turn at hitting.
Autumn was the first one to be blind-folded. They had all the older kids blindfolded.
The hit off on of the "princess hats" off of it and we had to take it home with us.
Of course you can't have a big gathering with out a football game and good food. Thanks for all the fun Blaine and Necha!!

Hunter's New Haircut
Today my little baby got his first real haircut. I've trimmed it before but never taken a lot off. So for his upcoming birthday, I wanted to get him a nice haircut. So I took him to King Hair. My baby now looks like a little man. It makes me sad that they grow up so fast.
Hunter with his long hair.
Getting ready!!
Shorter. . .
Shorter. . .
Almost done. . .
All done!! What a handsome little man!! (of course I am a little biased!)
Disney on Ice
This year I told Brian that I wanted to take the family to Disney on Ice for my Anniversary present. It was a lot of fun. We went down early and hung out at the Gateway Mall for a while. We went to EnergySolutions Arena (which I will always call the Delta Center) early. We got to go and see some of the princesses. It was fun watching the kids when the 2 different princesses cam out.
Princess Tiana from the movie The Princess and the Frog.
Cinderella
We got the kids Tinkerbell snow cones. They cost and arm and a leg
but the girls love their new cups.
The family all together. "CHEESE"
Mickey and Minnie Mouse and their cool car
All of Lightning McQueen's friends were their. It was so cool. They all drove around by themselves including Mickey's car. Their eyes and mouthes moved also.
They had the Lion King
And it ended with Tinkerbell.
It was so much fun. I love being able to spend time like this with the family. The kids had so much fun. I would love to do it again. I know the kids sure would like to.

"I-tee-teen"
Hunter LOVES Lightning McQueen. It is so fun watching him light up when he sees McQueen or Mater. When Hunter started to bite on his crib we moved him into his "big-boy bed." My cousin gave us a Lightning McQueen toddler bed that her son Gavin outgrew. It was wonderful of her. He was SO excited to get to sleep in his new bed. He had to tell everyone about it. It is so cute listening to him try to say Lightning McQueen. It sounds like "I-tee-teen" when he says it. When you ask him "what does Lightning McQueen say?" he will answer "Kachow! Vvvrrroooom" He is such a cutie!!
Hunter playing cars on his Lightning McQueen bed
It's I-tee-teen!!!
Cute video of Hunter in his room talking about Lightning McQueen and Mater. Sorry at the very first there is a loud noise which seems to happen if I hold down the record button too long
