Hunter Wakeboarding at Bear Lake!

Hunter loves to stand in Brian's wakeboard bindings, so Brian decided to let him try while in the water. He hooked a rope to one of the bindings and was ready to go.
Hunter is such a nut! He was ready to go. I was curious to see if he would like it.
Off they go!!
He looks like he is having fun.
Ready for some more!
I took the picture a little late, but you can still see his facial expression. He loves it!!
All done!! I think he wanted to do it some more.

Watching Hunter wakeboarding up and down the beach was so cute. All the people around though he was the cutest thing. He had so much fun and it was so cute watching him trying to cut back and forth that I had to record him doing it. So here is Hunter wakeboarding down the beach at Bear Lake.

Bear Lake

We went camping at the northeast shore of Bear Lake. We had a lot of fun. My parents brought up the waverunner so we were set to have lots of fun in the water. Natalie's family came and Kristen and Jerel came up later. It was a little stormy the first while but later it ended up being a beautiful day. Brian got me a new wakeboard and I was excited to go out and try it. Brian took a run out behind the waverunner with a nice demo board. But shortly after the wakerunner was having problems. We later found out it was the carberator and it wasn't sucking enough gas. So I didn't get to try out my board. Maybe next time! We still had lots of fun on the beach and in the water.
Hunter loved playing with the tractor in the sand
And of course the girls loved playing in the sand. I don't think Autumn even played in the water. She was more interested in playing and building in the sand.
Brooke is such a character!
Hunter wanted to go out into the water after Grandpa Achatz. He was checking out the waverunner and Hunter wanted to go with.
Everyone having some fun in the sun!
Natalie brought some squirt guns and Hunter loved chasing Jerel around squirting him!
We decided to bury Josh. Everyone got in on the action. They had to create some kind of embarrassing sand body for him, so they created a . . .
Mermaid. Can you see it?

From Caveman to Husband

After growing a beard for 6 months, Brian pretty much resembled a caveman. After the parade ended, all the beard growing contestants were invited to be "transformed back to their former selves" by some lovely ladies at one of the booths at the square. My excitement grew as we walked around trying to find the booth. At last we found it and the transformation process began. The nice lady who shaved Brian wanted to get before and after pictures of the men with their wives. So I decided to document the process of Brian's transformation from caveman back to husband!!
SO, Here is our before picture!

The nice lady as she put on Brian's cape to begin the process!!! SO EXCITED!!! She was a real sport and had a lot of fun changing Brian's "look."
Brian wanted to see what he would look like with a foo man choo (how every that is spelled). Those are some major chops!!!
One side down, one to go. . .
She kept teasing that she should have brought some gel to make his hair curl up at the end. She was really funny.
Wow! I am beginning to actually find my husband under all that hair, but not quite there!!
IT'S OFF!!!!!
Together at last!! No longer a caveman!!! Wow, he looks young! People teased him saying they had never seen someone go from 40 to 20 so quickly!! I'm just excited to have him back!

Hyrum's Patriotic Program and Parade

Brian was one of 14 people who entered a beard growing contest for Hyrum City. Back in 1946 (or around that date) Brian's grandfather entered the Hyrum City beard growing contest. Brian decided that he wanted to follow in his grandfather's footsteps and see how big of a beard he could grow. It started in January and did not end until July 2nd when the contestants were judged. Only 9 people made it to the end. Brian won the "Grandpa's Pride and Joy" award. They all got aprons, "I believe in beards" mugs and an opportunity to ride in the Hyrum parade!!
Brian in line with a few other contestants.
Before the patriotic program, we braided Brian's beard. It looked pretty funny in braids. He got the funniest looks from people in the crowd.

The kids had fun at the Hyrum parade. They got lots of candy (which I think I ate most of) and had lots of fun with family. We had fun waiting for daddy's float to come by.
I actually got all the kids in one photo. But I can never get them all to look at the same time. Hunter was too interested in everything else. He kept saying "cheese" for me but looking everywhere else.
I made the girls some cute hair ribbons. They like being all patriotic together.
Hunter love's his Spiderman hat!! His favorite part of the parade was watching the fire trucks pass and getting lots of candy.
Finally his float came. Yes, that's Brian in the lovely red long-johns and blond hair!!
Beautiful Brian!!! lol!!!
And yes, that is one of Brian's relatives in red long-johns sitting in a metal bath tub. They had a lot of fun. Brian even made it back to enjoy the rest of the parade with the kids. Somehow, when ever Brian helps the kids get candy, people throw a ton to him. Hunter made out pretty good.

Amber's wedding as flower girls

Brian's niece, Amber, asked Autumn and Brooklyn to be flower girls at her wedding. They were so excited. I had my sister Natalie help me do their hair. She can do the cutest hair styles on her girls, so I thought that she would be a good person to have help me. I was absolutely right. Their hair was gorgeous!!!! She did such a great job.
The girls took pictures with Amber before the wedding. And then we had fun taking pictures of each of the kids.
Autumn loved dressing up in her pretty blue dress and putting on make-up.
Brooklyn loves to have her hair done! She also was very excited to wear make-up since mommy doesn't put it on the girls.
The girls together.
Hunter was such a nut. I was trying to get a nice picture of him, but he gave me these cheesy grins instead. Oh well!!
The girls walked down from the balcony dropping flowers along the way. They did such a good job.
It was really cute when the got to the arch they dumped all the petals in a pile for them to stand on.
After everything was done we got all three kids together and amazingly got everyone to smile AND look at the camera at the same time!!!

Outdoor Summer Fun

Summer is going by so quickly!! We have been really busy enjoying the sun. Brian"s brother came up and took us to Hyrum Dam to do some wake boarding. It was a lot of fun. Brian got to try some of his fun tricks and had quite a few good wipe outs while trying to do different flips.
Brian surfing on the wave getting used to his board again. It has been a while since we sold our boat. So we are both a little rusty. I think Brian caught on more quickly than I did.
Brian thought it would be funny to take this lovely picture of me. The water was freezing!!! (hence the shocked look on my face). This was the best picture I had because I wiped out really good and didn't go back out. It gave me too bad of a head ache that lasted all day!!
Brian catching some air getting ready to do some crazy back-flips!

We took the kids out a few times on the four-wheelers. They have a blast. Hunter usually gets in a pretty good nap. Brooklyn does too occasionally.

Heading up to Hardware Ranch the kids were really excited!!
Hunter loves to ride right on top of the gas tank. He has to hold onto the handlebars and help drive the four-wheeler. He loves his blue helmet. We couldn't get him to take it off!
Cheese!!
Brooklyn is such a cutie!! She even took the time to pose with mommy. This is one of only a few shots of me 'cause I usually am the one taking the pictures.
We stopped on top and had some lunch. YUM!!! OREOS!!!
Autumn is learning to drive the four-wheeler. She loves to take any chance she can get to drive. We only let her drive if the trail is smooth.
Brooklyn posing on top to show the beautiful scenery. They loved to find different flowers and take pictures of them.

Autumn's Birthday June 23rd

I am a little late posting these but better late than never. I can't believe that Autumn is no 7. It makes me feel really old. We had a good day and celebrated with grandparents. She got a lot of clothes and a few fun toys. Autumn loves webkinz so we got her a Siamese kitty that came with a baby one. She was so excited about it.
Autumn and her webkinz that she got from mom, dad, Brooklyn and Hunter.
Hunter decided to taste the cake before we had a chance to sing. YUM!!
All my kiddos together. Man they are getting big!!
Autumn had a lot of fun helping me pick out her birthday cake. She said she doesn't like purple anymore so she finally decided on a pink rocker cake!

Autumn learned a few poems that she preformed in school. They were so cute I had her do them for me so I could record them. The videos below are her reciting 2 different poems "Sick" and "Bad Words" She has said these poems so many times even Hunter has learned part of them. If you listen carefully while she says "Bad words" you might hear him saying it along with her!
