School's Out

So the last few months have been very crazy with work so I have not been able to do any posting lately. So I had a ton of stuff to catch up on. I am sure there are more things and maybe I will post them later, but for right now, this is good enough!

Brooklyn's Kindergarten Program
On the last day of kindergarten, Brooklyn's class did a little program for us. They sang some songs and did the Lincoln Leopards school song and motto. I tried to upload the video of it but for some reason it wouldn't work. Then they got their files that included their different awards for being good.
Brooklyn getting her kindergarten completion award from Mrs. Duque' (Do-Kay) We are sad to say that Mrs. Duque' will not be teaching at Lincoln next year. We will miss her very much.

Autumn's last day of school

I had to work the last day so Brian took Autumn and got a picture of her with her 2nd grade teacher Mrs. Parent. I can't believe that she will be going into 3rd grade next year. Kids grow so fast!!

My Crazy Hunter!!

Sometimes I wonder if this kid will make it to his 8th birthday. If it isn't one crash.... it is another! He already had a visit to the ER in August after hitting his head on a tractor and getting 4 stitches. Well, we had a new adventure over Memorial weekend. I was making pancakes for dinner and all of a sudden I hear Brooklyn yelling that Hunter had fallen. I get ready to run into her bedroom when she informed me he was not in there.... He was outside. He had fallen out her window. Brian and I go running outside to see where he was, there we find Lynell, our neighbor, holding him. She had pulled him out of the window well. She said that she came outside for some reason she was not sure of and heard a loud thud. She ran over and he was standing inside the window well. Brooklyn had opened the window and he had push on the screen until it popped out and he fell out with it. He must have had angels around him. He fell 6 feet to the ground missing a large boulder and then fell another 3 feet into the window well.
My mom came over and took the girls so we could go check him out. He would take in a deep breath and then hold it for a while and then let it out. It was really scary. We got to the ER and they let us right in. They had to lay him on a board and put a neck brace on him. He was so brave. The doctor came in and looked at him. He started to cry when he toughed the right side of his back. They wanted to do a CT scan on him to make sure there was no internal bleeding. So he had to get an IV. When they tried to put it in his right arm, they could not get it in. So they had to try his left arm. He was crying and it made me want to cry too.
Hunter has a way with people. Even after everything that was going on, he still had the ER staff laughing. He was so cute. While they were getting ready to try again to get the IV, the blood pressure machine turned on and he told them that it has giving his leg a hug. He also liked the heart monitor. It was like a laser for Buzz Lightyear.
Hunter got to go for a little ride on the bed and into the CT scanner. If you ask him, he got to go through a giant doughnut. Everything on the CT looked good. But the doctor told us that the result for his blood test to check his pancreas and liver, showed that he had bruised his liver and to watch him carefully. After, he was free to go home and get some rest. It was now almost 10:00.
Having Hunter fall that far and have nothing major wrong was a true blessing. He could have easily been hurt worse. I am so grateful for the blessings in my life. That the Lord watches over us and protects us.

My crazy Hunter, posing for the camera and doing a few moves for me. I love you Hunter!

SOCCER!! GO BROOKLYN!!!

Brian helped coach Brooklyn's soccer team with Matt Jensen. She had a lot of fun playing soccer this year. They only won one game... but they tried their best. Brooklyn scored a lot of goals and was super excited! At one game, Brian yelled to her that Grandpa would pay her $5 if she scored. She then ran down and scored a goal! She likes to play defense and protect the goal.
We were very busy running from one soccer game or practice to another...but the girl's really enjoyed it!

SOCCER!! GO AUTUMN!!!

Brian helped coach Autumn's soccer team again this year. We had a really good team. The girls lost 1, tied 1, and won 8! Autumn really started to do good this season. She even scored a goal and had a lot of assists! She was the fast one all over the field! She loved playing forward and striker. Sometimes I think she would forget she was defender and play up front. She did not like being goalie.

Easter

We had our annual rolling Easter eggs down Old Main Hill event a week earlier this year. My mom was going out of town so my sister came up a week earlier to roll eggs. It is always fun and we usually have on crash (this year it was Hunter) and it always ends in an "egg-ball" fight. I don't get involved in those... they can be painful!

Brooklyn running after her egg.

Autumn running after one of her eggs!
Hunter being a little more cautious after gaining too much speed and crashing his first run down.

The Nibley Easter egg Hunt

Having more kids has posed the problem of not being able to get pictures of everyone. This year Brian took Autumn and Brooklyn to their age group and I stayed with Hunter.

Hunter found a chick egg and was able to do a gunny sack race.

He was the smallest one there!!

Ready...Set...Go!!! He did really good. He even beat some people!

After, I found out that Autumn had also found a chick egg and won first place. She got a giant stuffed bunny.

Science Fair

Autumn and her best friend Hanna wanted to enter the school science fair. They did a good job. They had a lot of fun painting and decorating their volcano.

Showing how the volcano will erupt using baking soda and vinegar.
After all the kids got awards for participating.

Playing Catch Up- Learning to surf!!

So we were invited to go to Flowrider with my cousin Brittney and her family to celebrate Breanin's birthday. It was a lot of fun but the water was freezing!!! The water pumps had gone out earlier that week, so they couldn't heat the pool up in time. It was a lot of fun.

Here is Autumn trying the body board for the first time

(in the background is Brian...watch him carefully)

Woo hoo!! She is doing Awesome!!!
Still doing great!
(where is Brian? Crashing!)

My first attempt to surf! Kind of nervous. I don't like to crash!

I didn't do too bad for my first time. Stayed up for quite a while!

Brian was getting a little more confident so he started
trying to do a few tricks.

So we tried to get Brooklyn to ride it with the pro... But this is as far as she got!

Brian took Hunter on it! He had the biggest smile...until they crashed and went into the freezing water! But that didn't stop him from going again!

It was a lot of fun!
