Sledding

New Years Day
We decided to take the kids sledding with Natalie and Kristin's family.  It was a chilly 20 degrees. Which was warm for what he had been having for a while.  The kids had a lot of fun.

 Christmas morning

Visiting family at Grandma Achatz's house

We had an elf visitor for The month of December.  Santa sent her to our house.  The kids decided to name her Holly.

We celebrated Brooklyn's 8th birthday

We went to our insurance party where the kids got to roller blade, play on the giant jungle gym and play laser tag.

6 Months Old

I can't believe that Jaxon is already 6 months old.
Weight: 16 lbs 6 oz
Clothes: 3-6 and some 6-9
Diaper size: 2
Sleep habits:sleeps until about 3
but then stirs at 5 so mommy brings him in with her and he sleeps until 7 or 8

 Some more things about Jaxon:
He took his first tumble off of mommy's bed.  She felt really bad about that one.
Rolls over but doesn't really like to roll from his back to his belly.
He is such a happy baby.  He loves to flirt and smile at everyone.
Loves the sound of his voice.  He discovered is squealing voice at church. Luckily that phase didn't last too long.

Went out in the snow searching for the perfect Christmas tree.
Stayed nice and warm in his pink baby bunting.

Saw Santa for the first time.

Mommy loves watching him while he is sleeping.

Takes over mommy and daddy's bed.

Such a binkie baby

He is now really wiggly and hard to take pictures
without getting something that is blurry

Christmas tree hunting

This year, Brian suggested we go cut down our own Christmas tree.  So I took off  work and got together with a friend and his family.  We had to drive to Montpilliar, Idaho to get a tree cutting permit.  Then we were off to find the "perfect" tree, which was more difficult then we thought.  You would think that with SO many trees in a forest, you would be able to find one you liked.  It took quite some time looking we finally found a tree.  Not the "perfect" tree I had in mind but one that will work just the same.  We definately learned a few things, so if we decide to do it again, we will know what to do.  We still had fun :)

What's with kids and finding frozen mud puddles?

We had lots of fun.  Maybe we will do it again next year.
